Starting out

I studied Visual Communication Design at ISI Bali and, in 2011, drew my first logo: a hand-lettered mark for Swich, a sandwich and juice bar in Bali. During college I laid out pages for Info Pedas, a magazine, as a freelancer. Then I joined Bali Plus magazine at PT Trijaya Dewata as a junior graphic designer (2012–2013).

Nightlife, every week

For Jenja, a club and bar at TS Suites in Seminyak, I designed a new event poster almost every week, plus billboards, VIP and member cards, coupons, drink menus and newsletters. I worked with the venue’s marketing team by email: brief, draft, revisions, print. New artists and themes each week, the same venue voice.

The long form

Mahallati Interior Design gave me editorial work at length: Inspiration Book, a monthly magazine (Vol. 001 to 009 and beyond, July 2015 to August 2016), identity work, business cards, a Christmas card and the website and, in 2021, the company profile and catalogue of projects.

Agency years

At Myooz (Muse), a design agency in Bali, I designed the agency’s own logo, a confident lowercase m. with a coral full stop that it still uses, and its first company profile. Agency projects included the GIFT brand guidelines, where I’m credited as Graphic Designer with Carla, and a hotel concept book. In the same years I designed the catalogue and company profile for The Factory Indonesia, a furniture maker.

Independent

Since 2021 I’ve worked independently. Albali Studio is my own studio for educational and spiritual media: websites, five Android apps and channels. Its Pejalan Ruhani app passed 10,000 downloads with a 4.8 rating on Google Play (October 2026).

I also make tools: O/Page and Get Started, both launched on Product Hunt, the Focus section library for Elementor on Gumroad, a small WordPress plugin, and Big Studio, my web-design studio for small businesses. Alongside them, client identities and websites such as CoachingWorked and Jaya Construction Bali, and cover art for my own music.

Now

Today I’m a freelance contractor on a monthly retainer for the Mason group in Bali. I designed and built the websites of Mason Adventures, Mason Elephant Park, Mason Chocolates, Shinto Spa and Mazzoni Pizza, and I make their posters, menus, magazine ads and promotions, and edit video. Their branding is not mine. In October 2026 I also completed a new website for Swich, fifteen years after its logo.

Next, I’m looking for a remote role, full-time or contract, with a team that values identity, editorial and web craft together.
